The Internet has added a new dimension of flexibility to running a business.  There are so many options out there to make doing your job easier, and many of those are out there for free.

It’s tough to compete with free.

However, we also know that you get what you pay for.  After working in this industry for almost a decade, we’ve seen websites of every shape and size.  Some are good, some bad, some that are just horrible.  Because most statistics are made up on the spot, I won’t attempt to deliver anything scientific here, but let me tell you, the overwhelming majority of bad sites we see are ones that were attempted to be built for free.

Another caution we’d like to provide is to watch out for web designers that are utilizing some of these free design tools and then selling their work to you.  I’ve had a few clients that have been duped by a friend or someone in their organization that thinks they can build a website only to return back in a few months after their project is still unfinished, or they are unhappy with the result.

Do yourself a favor and make the investment into your online brand image by getting a custom web destination from UpperLimit Design.  Using free tools to build your website is like watching HGTV and thinking you can build a house yourself… it just doesn’t work!
